Sierra Vista Wines was invited to a Wine Pairing with their Petite Sirah wine by Bartholomeus Klip, Exclusive farm stay hotel and cuisine at a historic Cape farm and private nature reserve in the Riebeek Valley.
A culinary treat, the food at Bartholomeus Klip is famous for being generous, inventive, and mostly made from local ingredients, including home-grown Wagyu beef.
At the main Farmhouse, the Conservatory Restaurant serves 3-course set menus prepared to perfection by Executive Chef Louise Gillett.
The Conservatory offers a relaxed but moderately formal experience, with crisp morning sunlight at brunch and romantic, soft candlelight at dinner.
Sierra Vista’s Petite Sirah complemented the main course, 36 hours confit pressed Lamsneck.
Finishing with Vanilla Bean Cremeaux, a delectable dessert.
Kevin Coetzee of UK-based Humble Grape, importers of sustainable wine, joined in the culinary delight.
A special word of thanks to Lesley Gillett, Farmhouse Manager for the hospitality and Louise Gillett for the stunning three course meal. They are truly a dynamic duo.
